It honestly would have been served better if it just kept the dead girlfriend bit completely out, as well as the "THE GAME IS LITERALLY HURTING ME" shit near the end. I understand creepypasta writers wanting some kind of danger in their stories, but that shit was fucking asinine. It would have been much more intense if there wasn't much of an explanation at all, that Red was just part of a fucked up haunted game cartridge that was aware of the narrator but couldn't do much else to him. Fuck, given the religious symbology plastered everywhere, if the story needed stakes it could have been a battle for the narrator's soul or something, nothing directly painful but through implication could have way a way worse outcome.

I've actually been writing my own version of the pasta where the AVGN is the protagonist. It's almost finished, i'll post it sometime when it's done.

The meat world was the peak of the creepypastas, love those designs so much. It gets even better when you realize that those guys dwarf Godzilla, so they're probably hundreds of feet tall, if not thousands

Even with the story being shit after Melissa becomes a thing I still think this is the peak of vidya creepypastas, the idea of providing made up screenshots to go with the story was kino especially because of Cosbydaf's fucked up artstyle. I wish out of all the creepypastas that could have gotten a shitload of fanworks made from it, it would have been this one but so far all the fangames for it have been dead in the water unlike bottom of the barrel shit like sonic.exe or any of the pokemon creepypastas that werent even scary

I don't get it.

Isn't there a sequel that is just plain goofy and the nes cartridge is some custom hallucination thing? Is that still going on? Is it cancelled?
