Good job anon, but unfortunately despite reading all those emails you've been too retarded to figure it out. I'm going to consume your entire universe as the ending

uh cool??

Next update we get the REAL Ending:
Abe shows up with a device that he planted in all the previous Portal Worlds, and it turns into a 'base defense' where you have to fight off Anteverse 2 entities in all of them to get them to fuck off for good

Its weird they let you change how kylie's story goes. But like two emails an area and even voiced obviously by other npcs to you, you still can't find an alternative to just doing whatever Khan tells you to do.

>dude I'm a high ranking scientist
>I was just taking a nap in this deep containment cell and the door locked, you know how it is
You'd think he'd come up with a better story than that lmao

I really hate that the ending is just DLC/sequel bait. Feels like an olive on a sundae instead of a cherry. Fantastic like 9.4/10 game spoiled by just an awful hanging thread ending.

I need Flathill to be expanded to cover the entire town. Its too spooky to be just the place to farm power cells earlygame. I want it to be large enough to warrant a forward base and feel like more a big deal when you free the giants into the facility.

A Composer DOES show up in both Hydroplant and Cloud Reactor but only during the Fog Event for the second one.
It's kinda' lame, especially since Abe was losing his shit when you find him after you escape Flathill

I bought this a while back, played about 40 minutes of it, and then stopped playing. Wasn't until I started seeing some threads of this again that I decided to pick it up again and I am so glad I did, the game is a blast. Going through manufacturing west now, it's a shame the very beginning is a bit slow and tedious.

It was all clear the moment you find him in containment. Also he is the one who requested your relocation to GATE Cascade facility. And he is the one who was supposed to be our supervisor. He knew us long before we even met in person. He is so likable and really enjoys what he is doing, how can you possibly hate him? He never calls you dumb and such, he always gives you compliments and says you are so amazing he would love to destroy a couple of universes with you. The ending is fantastic, Im glad the devs had the balls not to use a generic happy ending bullshit but gave us an apocalypse insted.

Big emphasis on the cold and little boy blue that it didnt really have anything else in it. Its short as fuck, and the space area (while cool visually) is just a series of islands with bounce pads and that sucks. Botany also adds nothing but tedium jumping from time portal to time portal excepting going to the super secret facility, which lasts all of like 30 seconds. Long story short, theres fucking nothing to do.

>the ending is fantastic
lolno
Its just sequel bait. If it just ended with a downer ending of "shits all fucked, you fucked it, good luck" then itd be...better, but certainly better than the current ending with all the bait hanging out for DLC. Its not an ending, theres still like 80 pages left in this book.

I laughed extremely hard when the high inquisitor got vaporised by Abe and Janet

I really wish residence sector was more of a horror death zone, where our reality is being permeated. The jump pads and space zone felt rushed and the last two areas are VERY sparse. 1.0 really should have been delayed

Oh noooo, I played through to this final boss arena of the video game! I have two choices, summon the eldritch entity or, not progress the game. What should I do?!

Was Dead Space 3 ending a bad ending? It is universally agreed to be one of the best endings in sci-fi games. I like that AB ends the same way. Residences was kinda rushed yeah, but look at it this way - you have already done all the job getting the facility back online, restarting things and fixing shit. You can craft insane armor and weaponry. For me, if they put hordes of overpowered enemies like in Hydroplant and Gatekeeprs realm would have ruined it. We know it's the ending section of the game, there is no need to blueball the player. You see the finish line, you want to cross that line and you have all the tools to do it. As for endings, there are 2 endings in fact. First - we kill monster and cause an apocalypse. Second - considering that we don't have means to kill Cahn entity, we can only contain him. So don't do anything, stay on island forever, he can't get out and mosnter doesn't cause portal storm. I like it. They already said there will be dlc/contuation, so dlc bait or not - both endings are ok for a base game.

We will have to agree to disagree then. I despise endings like this, and it really puts a damper on a fantastic game for me. Also thats just semantics about multiple endings. If I stop playing, I dunno, Mario before I fight Bowser, does that unlock the "Mario went home instead" ending? It doesnt. It means the story does not continue to its conclusion, not that it "ended". There's the singular ending in Abiotic.

Id say there is a line you can and can not cross without breaking immersion and in-game universe logic. "Mario went home instead" breaks immersion and logic of mario universe. AF ending "do nothing" doesn't break immersion and goes in line with AF universe logic (you know long before you reach the Albatross that Cahn is an evil IS, still you proceed to help him by your own choice or you can give him the finger insted). My only issue with AF universe logic is that there is pretty much no motivation for us to help Cahn. We want to get out yeah, but there is no force that pushes us towards that choice. I would get it if situation was dire and let's say the whole faciliy will collapse soon or there is a failsafe nuclear explosion timer, idk, than yeah we well have some good reason to follow Cahn as he says he knows how to get out.
