Nah, I WISH it would happen, I'd rather have AI over Kevin Afghani. His Mario voice sucks, his Waluigi voice is abysmal. His Luigi and Wario voice are actually okay to me. I wish Nintendo didn't insist and having 1 person do all 4 voices again, there is only 1 Charles Martinet.

I'll piss leftist off, I'm fine with most of these voice actors being replaced by AI. They're getting old and a lot of them just refuse to retire and let new talent take over, so getting replaced by AI it is. Instead of bitching about AI, machines, and robots taking over all the time, people should start using them as tools to have a job.

Except Mario has never had more than a few sentences, Goofy was in lots of shorts over the years. The problem is that even if Charles Martinet came out and said "yes, they snubbed me for the role of Mario" that wouldn't disprove counter-claims that "we did 10 minutes of test footage with Martinet as Mario and it bombed with focus groups".

I heard a random dude in a video reel that did an amazing Mario voice that sounded just like Martinet, not sure who he was but it was just like Martinet. He was able to do the deep voice and fluctuate like Martinet does, which Kevin sucks at. Kevin is pretty much only good at doing Mario's high pitched voices, and even that's not always consistent.

Kevin overshoots the high pitch and goes right into Mickey Mouse. Seriously, some of Mario's grunts in Wonder are straight up Mickey. Dunno how Kevin sounds in World but I hope he has improved.

his random wahoos and grunts are okay but the words are terrible. when you first turn on the game and Mario goes "Mario Kart World" it sounded so fucking bad, it's laughable compared to the "MARIO KART, AYEE (eight)"

reminder Nintendo shitcanned him because he's old and they don't want the drama of mario's voice actor being old and dying
