Lmao every time I hear this I just know someone hasn't played past like 2 Zeldas. OoT ditched the top-down, WW had the sailing gimmick and toon art style, TP randomly went full furry, and ST made you use a fucking microphone. Zelda reinvents itself constantly - BotW just went bigger. And Link hasn’t really been “silent” since the N64 days unless you’re counting grunt compilations as vows of silence.

I'm not against Zelda movies but it needs to be like the OOT manga, which is better than the game. Just have Link's friends summon him and the final 8 minutes of the movie is him slaying everybody and then ascending back into heaven.

I'm using this thread to say that phantom hourglass was fucking awesome and I'm sad that it was poorly received. I thought the use of the touchscreen throughout the game was fairly clever, the hourglass dungeons were very tense, and overworked dungeons were great. I still get song from it stuck in my head especially Linebeck's theme (most GOATed Zelda side character btw).

I just beat skyward sword on switch. It wasn't as bad as I remember it being.
The dungeons were really good except for the fire temple which was bland.
