Citizen Sleeper. I kept getting shilled that it was such a good game, and it was drawn out boring bullshit.

nominating both final fantasy 12 and 13, 12 was dry as fuck but the systems were interesting enough for me to stick through it. 13 wasn't dry but failed to make me give a fuck about anything that was happening and the gameplay sucked ass.

Probably one of the autistic simulators. I remember Airport Simulator being one of the worst rated games on Steam, but I don't remember if it really was because you had to wait real time hours for a plane to depart.

Any game where its really easy then you reach a hard part that easily kills you but the last checkpoint is 5 minutes ago so you have to go through 5 minutes of easy just to get killed again, and the 5 minute interval means low retention of mastery over the hard part. Oh also there is a 20 second unskippable recap cutscene when you die.

Bro, Diablo 4 was like watching paint dry in hell. How did Blizzard take a formula that was literally just crack-on-a-loop and somehow make it feel like a mobile game grind with less charm than a dentist's waiting room? Everything from the itemization to the world design just screams "please open your wallet."
