Has anyone here been to an e-"sports" event?
I think watching sports are a waste of time but e-sports even more so. It doesn't help that most team games are unwatchable due to the lack of being able to see what's happening from one perspective.
Do people unironically go to these events to watch some unsightly [mostly asian] nerds tap keys? What's the appeal besides going there with your nerd buddies to bond or as a homely girl to get noticed by one of these players or farm simps by getting caught on camera?
Some of them are just too into it to make me believe that they aren't paid actors. They have to be paid actors just like the ones in those standup comedian and talk shows and I refuse to believe otherwise.

Esports fans are like the nerdier versions of sports fans. Both are unintelligent in different ways since anyone invested into sports are essentially slaves.

In that respect, I guess fighting games work out, since you can see everything going on on the one screen, with whose who up top.
Though to go to one, you have to actually deal with people who play fighting games "competitively", and that sounds worse than going to a wnba game.
