It's a bad game loaded to the brim with awful meme features.
The worst offender is the shitty implementation of the overdrive gauge that was meant to add an element of risk/reward. Retards eat it up because it instills in them a false sense that they're engaging with the game and making "decisions that matter" when it is yet another mechanic where the game is dictating how you should play, rather than the player being allowed to express himself freely.
This works great in games that were actually designed around them, like Tales of Rebirth, where a physical player skill element is present and rewards/punishes good or poor play. If your Rush Gauge (similar to the Overdrive gauge) is maxed out and you lack the gameplay skill to avoid getting hit, you're going to eat shit. But a skilled player can play around it and mop the floor with the enemy.
The implementation in Chained Cuckholds does nothing except force you to perform sub-optimal actions ("engaging with the mechanics") simply because the game says so. There is no skill component to make up for it because allowing it to go up too high results in nothing but downsides for you, and at worst a wipe.
Being allowed to play dangerously has been done well in countless games, but Chained Kekholds is simply not one of them. The feature feels tacked on rather than carefully thought out. Even the Danger Mario strategies from Paper Mario are of more gameplay significance, and that is saying something.
