It certainly isn't by cyberpunk. It's a good game but NV towers so far above it, it operates on a whole different level.
Cyberpunk never fully shed it's broken release, despite all the progress they made. It still has massive identity issues. A half baked RPG, half baked looter shooter, half baked GTA clone, half baked action adventure, half baked immersive sim, ... This game flatout doesn't know what it wants to be and lacks focus and depth all throughout. At it's current state it's an 8/10 game at best and nowhere near a masterpiece.

You can mod CP77 into an immersive sim basically. It has some pretty wild gameplay mods. But it was more glaring vanilla issues that can't be fixed with mods, while NV has a lot less base issues.

I enjoyed Cyberpunk for what it was, but it's very flat and one dimensional, and you can't fix that with mods.

Never plated NV but I got it really cheap in sale, will probably play it soon.

New Vegas has better role playing options, but I must admit that the story of Cyberpunk, and its deeper implications, are far more engaging. I think NV suffers a lot from being unfinished, which is clearly seen with factions such as The Legion.

Are you trying to throw insults because I can get behind that statement. It's about artstyle and not graphical fidelity. Any good looking artstyle doesn't need high fidelity. Cyberpunk looks good too because of it's artstyle mainly. High fidelity textures, path tracing, it's all just sprucing things up. Same as some mods do for NV. It's nice to have a crispier and clear image but it's gameplay mechanics and artstyle that determines how a game ages and not the graphical tech.

Nah. While I can say the gameplay and the overall aesthetic is way more of my thing, I think just from playing 24 hours of NV, the role playing aspects of it are pretty fuckin’ nuts with its dialogue choices and different outcomes for quests. 2077 is too far in-between with that sort of stuff.

Cyberpunk is a Ubisoft-style game. It's basically a linear open world junk with a bunch of annoying side markers on the map and a linear story. It's way closer to FarCry than New Vegas

the issue with daggerfall is that you need to be like 50 and have a lot of patience to play the original game without getting filtered. that's why everybody prefers to try the unity slop remaster instead. while both zoomers and boomers can easily play fallout 3 or new vegas for the first time and fell in love with the franchise

I find CDPR's output much more immersive than Bethesda's, especially as of late. This is irrelevant, however, as NV was made by Obsidian.
