The Best of the Best
These were the best of the best according to /v/ in 2011.

How has it changed over the past 14 years?

i think the issue is that there really haven't been any truly GREAT games released in that time period. lots of fun games sure, but nothing that can really stand up against the classics.

the industry could cease to exist overnight and there would still be a lifetime of games to look back on and explore. there is zero urgency to play what's current unless you're a part of the multiplayer zeitgeist

Actually, the demo for india is really really REALLY fucking small. In order from most to least we have
>US
>Canada (at only 15% of the US numbers)
>UK (At about 11%)
>Australia
>Russia
>Spain
>Finland
>Sweden
>Argentina
>Germany
The top 10 are all white (or believe to be) with Brazil and Japan just after that.
India sits at number 47 with only about 0.6% as many posters as the US and it's just behind Worst Korea and Hong Kong.
China is also at 54th and Israel at 57th.
Granted, this still leaves enough room for bad actors to cause a stir, but not nearly enough to have flooded the board. Odds are you're dealing with zoomers that get their rocks off pretending to be as retarded as possible.
>B-but boomers did that too!
It's different.

exactly my point. there haven't been any interesting technological developments since then and publishers will only fund projects with mass appeal. and the worthwhile games that DO come out (mostly from the indie scene but not always) are mostly just rehashes of ideas we've already seen before. there's just no room for anything groundbreaking anymore. and that's to say nothing of the fact that game developers have basically zero passion for the work they do. "we don't use the word 'fun' in the industry" is what i was told.
