Night City may be jank but it's got soul, and pairing it with Timesplitters 2 music is a chef's kiss move. You ever try throwing in some OG Ghost in the Shell OST too? Whole vibe goes pseudo-zen.

Yes actually. The ability just to cruise the game world without relying on hacky mods is going to be mad comfy. It will scratch that itch that classic need for speed does for me.

Game is all kinds of so-so but the skyboxes are great.

That parking job is terrible - whoever parked like that should be ashamed given this is a reasonably popular lookout point to the beautiful lake.

This game has some great set pieces but the grind, fuck that. I might give it another go and see if I can use cheat engine to give me loads of money which would solve one of my big complaints about the game.

Without the ambient music this loses a bit of comfy but still, seeing the sun rise on the savannah is relaxing.

I liked it. Like unavowed it has an episodic structure which might not be for everyone. But i found myself enjoying all the side stories. The setting is also pretty cool and it tackles time travelling in a way i haven't seen before. Really good writing overall, some frustrating puzzles though.

WoW has always looked awful. It's art direction is just plain bad. It always has been, and I'm tried of people pretending its not. With rare exception, its landscapes look terrible. Its armor is atrocious. Its character design is laughable.

If you click with the gameplay it is a good game. Ultimately dropped it because I wasn't too invested in the story which is a large element of the intended experience. That I may have rage quit over the perception (how true it is I don't know, hence perception) of the game dropping inputs particularly during combat.

I've never played the game (or been into beat em' ups ever (yes I will fight any autism on this point - that what the likes of tekken, street fighter and whatnot were known as for a time)) but the fidelity of the image harkens me back to when such games - along with racing games - were at the absolutely bleeding edge of what was possible graphically. Like, tekken 3 was a massive leap over 1 and 2 and seeing that at home in 1997 was all kinds of woah.

Holy shit it's finally over. Good god Interloper was a slog, for a fan remake Black Mesa was 10/10, at least until reaching Xen. They found a way to make that part worse somehow.
I have to admit I liked the Nihilanth fight in BM more, but they butchered his design. He looks like a big baby here, in the original he was some lovecraftian mess and had Vortigaunt parts and machinery stapled to him. He was more mysterious and creepy.

When I saw this in the demo it brought me all kinds of feels as I remember using MSN back in the day and this was definitely made by someone who did as well, it is far too accurate to be made by just looking up what MSN looked like.

That game annoys me so much. The premise is great, the initial buildup is great and then the big bad just fucks off because he left the oven or something and the plot instantly pivots to something else that while related has so little buildup I honestly couldn't care. This combined with so much time spent outside the mansion makes me think they had two stories in mind, cut them both in half and jammed them in the game while taping over the holes.

I played through as emily and looked up a playthrough of edward to see the differences. A few small questions are answered in the other playthrough but that is overshadowed by the main story beats not changing and that is the weakest part of the game.

That NFS itch is specifically why I play ETS2 (instead of ATS). As a burger, Europe is weird and foreign and I don't mind as much when stuff is obviously compressed or stylized to fit the game scale, and yeah, sometimes it really does feel like driving around in NFS4 or Porsche Unleashed, just newer and obviously in a much slower vehicle. Turns out that all I really need to truly enjoy a game is big machines and cool skyboxes and/or comfy fog.

Also, European city names and signs are hilarious.
