Would D2 be better if attack rating wasnt a thing and armor reduced damage received rather than just add dodge %?

attack rating being gone would make melee decent

armor reducing damage would take quite a bit of changes to make sense

moving and have your def go to zero sucks

it's an arpg tradition for melee classes to be totally gimped compared to ranged classes.
