>>717178761Pretty sure statistically men have a weaker social networks. The "playfully giving each other shit and playing drill sergeant for each other" thing doesn't seem to be that useful.
And I think we'll be stuck with it for the foreseeable future.
Men could probably learn a lot from how women socialize, both for when it comes to treating each other and women. But the recent feminism movement that allowed women to absorb the best traits of men (and even excel at some of them, see college graduation numbers) was built around "girls can do it too", which implicitly put certain male qualities on a pedestal. Since female qualities have never been on such a pedestal, "boys can do it too" can't land, and therefore you can't start a social movement where men absorb the best traits from women. Ironically it's due to feminism that female traits won't be seen as something worthwhile by men.
End result: Women get to synergize the best of feminine and masculine traits, and men remain boxed into an outdated mindset that's incompatible with modern reality. Makes a lot of dudes give up or wish for the whole world to change around that mindset. Neither of which is a path to happiness.
