I'm grinding the Wo-Chien raid in Pokemon Violet because the drops are on par with a 7 star raid but it can be completed in a fraction of the time.

I have become Big Boss in the cardboard box

Games? Gee if there were any good. Battlefield 6 looks pricey at 100 USD for the non-circumsized edition. Kernel level AC, i could flick my TPM and secureboot on, but will this anti-cheat shit work this time? I doubt it. Lobbies going to be flooded again with cheaters. Boring finisher animations, get close enough and get instant gratification kills with knives. Looks all very soulless.

The worst part about my condition is I do have fun, replaying old games. Everything modern feels like either a chore or straight up work simulator.

A friend bought me one of those Chinese handheld things for my 30th birthday last week and I've just been replaying Mario 3 and Donkey Kong Country for the 99999999th time. The last console I bought was Wii U in 2012. Feels good man

Do millennials unironically get triggered at the term "unc"? Most of us are legit uncles and we are all cool gamer uncles that play Mario Kart with our sister's sons, right?

been playing darktide for the past 2 months
sometimes i get invited to drink on weekends but most of the time i just play vidya. sometimes i work out or chat here with you people. live is very comfortable, if i werent mentally ill id probably enjoy it even more, or maybe i am mentally ill because my life is comfortable. in either case no complaints on my parts. I also like reading or audio books but couldnt get into it lately so i just mostly chat with chatgpt if i deem an idea or thought noteworthy. lifes good, i wish i could be left unbothered for the rest of my days. people would call it rot, i call it freedom. the only movement in my life i need is that inside of my head

I get triggered by any NPC phrase from the zoomer mono-culture. Crash out, unc, frfr, unironically -- any phrase which gets repeated because you saw it on a Tiktok video is going to trigger me. Why can't you have separate sub-cultures who use different words? It's so weird to hear everyone saying the exact same thing.

I found out an ex-girlfriend passed away two years ago, at 30.
I had no idea.
We didn't keep up with each other really, but we were on good terms.
Last time I saw her was about 5 years ago.

I think the Switch 2's default dpads hate my left thumb in particular, or maybe I won't be able to run dpads for hours at a time anymore
so uh I don't think I can actually make use of it as a mobile little console without propping it up on the little stand it came with and using a pro controller. I wish I played the demo for Labyrinth of refrain long enough to notice that, I would've bought it on PC instead.
I'm scared to see how my thumb fares vs Disgaea 7 on the steam deck

33 checking in. Just started MHGU for the first time and have been unable to do anything except play that and work. I find I may go a week to weeks without playing anything then find something like that and just no life it for a bit. Gaming is better in spurts opposed to an everyday thing.

34, in the process of getting laid off which sucks ass because I'm the primary breadwinner for the house, and I actually liked my job (which is rare in this day and age). On the flip side, my three year old has begun to play video games on her own - we're starting her on one of those obviously made for kids exploration games for our Switch so she can get used to the controls, and while she's adapting well to using the joystick and buttons, I underestimated how many times she would stop and say "look, Daddy! What is that?".
