Actually no.
Kids are born with smartphones in hand that have much better specs than those and can run many more games.
Also if I kid is smart enough to know what is emulation and he already has a smartphone, he can just get a controller and activate screen mirroring.
So no, this shit is fucking useless and too expensive for its price.

If that's a Famicom clone, then it's a pretty neat gift. I got one of those as a kid too (it was called the Polystation), and it came with a cart with a bunch of classic games.

Problem is, assuming you are brazilian too, Polystation was dirt cheap compared to this GP5 shit.
The bootleg cartridges with 1000s of games that actually just the same 10 were also much cheaper compared to actual original cartridges.

I just checked ali, and it costs like $22 (converted from my local currency, meaning with super high EU taxes included) there. It didn't get great reviews, so the game selection's probably not too good.
It looks like it's not sold in my country by local retailers, but even the more expensive ones seem to be around 60-70 USD.
I definitely wouldn't get this one, but with all that said, I have no reason to assume this will not get you better games than a real PS5.

I saw that shit going on with stuff like boyscouts as a kid decades ago.
Over time parents got less and less involved with the raising of their children, and its a terrible thing to see.
Saw it affecting the school systems at the younger ages as well, in news and from family members who are (now retired) teachers for kindergarten and such.

I wouldn't sneeze at this. It might have an emulator and some actually good games installed.

Some youtube channels review these things and their libraries of preinstalled games are actually really good.

Did your grandma buy you anything weird? My grandma bought me a stuffed toy dog when I was a teen. You can put batteries in it and it do flips. It was an odd choice but it's the thought that counts.
