The fact that VR didn't usher in at least a port/revival wave of classic rail-shooter should tell you something.

It doesn't matter anyway since Panzer Dragoon Orta and Sin and Punishment 2 perfected the genre anyway.

No, because the arcade experience could never be matched, and no one goes to arcades. There might be a nostalgia bait steam revival, like with retro platformers, but it will eventually die forever
