Both of those are subjective opinions. Outside of a single mechanic in DS2 (Soul Memory) nothing in either games is objectively worse or better and there is no metric or method that you can use to prove otherwise.

There's a mod to decrease enemy clutter and population, fix the dodge iframe issue, the joystick movement jank, and everything else. It takes like 5 minutes to download these mods from the nexus and there you go ds2 jank free. Yall are lazy af

I honestly do prefer DS1 over 2 for a multitude of reasons but trying to play the "it looks bad" card on DS2 when there are entire areas with glitched out and straight up missing geometry is just bad taste.

Those aren't my problems with DS2. My problems with DS2 are mostly the levels. I'm not connected with the world at all.
No mod can fix that and the ones that try to add new parts to areas are those shitty overhaul mods that every fromsoft game gets and not a single one of them are good.

Visually speaking, there's nothing wrong with New Londo, Tomb or Duke's Archive. It's just Izalith that looks like shit because it's completely unfinished. Gameplaywise I agree that things go downhill after O&S.

The biggest critisizm I have is the feel and I cant pinpoint it exactly. When I roll or swing a weapon in every other souls game it feels much better than in DaS2.
