That's hardly a minor thing though. We see a crocodile skeleton and the game robs control from you and zooms in on the skeleton as we get to see it be slowly reanimated and then encapsulated in a rocky shell that also has crocodile imagery on it.
But then immediately in the lagoon layer below, we meet Cranky, that every time you meet him in every layer, also hints at K.Rool.

Ill wait for the game to be emulatable and then try it. Only even remotely interested in it, because it sounds more like an adventure game with puzzles and problem solving, and that has been what ive wanted from games for ages now, but without the meaningless bloated meandering unfocused gameplay that comes from open world games like TotK, even though I surprisingly liked TotK. Im tired of games that just "have mechanics exist" for lack of better word, they dont explore them, develop them, elaborate on them, create focused challenges to test your understanding of them.

I remember totk had a really cool puzzle in the water temple of setting up floating platforms with ultra hand, and then realizing you had to use the bullet time mechanic to hit a switch that was within a pillar which was covered on every side except one, and was spinning super fast, and because bullet time slows down time, it slows down the spinning and you can hit the target.

That alone not only combines a number of mechanics together in a fundamentally skill based way. But also SMARTLY recontexualizes a mechanic youve been using casually through the entire game because its a "mechanic that exists" type of mechanic like i described earlier. Something just to use, so that the game has an interactive element to constantly engage you with, but lacks the actual structure and design, to express that mechanic in a meaningfully directed way.

I cut out a bunch of stuff i was going to say after but Ill just post that next, I think this is enough from me to get an idea of why id even care about this game.
