I had fun with both Mafia 3 and Mafia 1 DE. They both had the best driving model in any open world that I've seen, and the best map for driving as well for Mafia 3. I had hours of fun just driving around following traffic rules and listening to the radio. Plus you could connect a wheel+pedal and play it like ghetto forza horizon. Probably gonna wait till I get the new one unless it's a day 1 release on the russian tranny's website.

Not really, the only one I've played was Mafia 2 10 years ago because it was on sale, it was okay, a but too railroaded for my taste but I guess that was on me for expecting GTA but in the 40's/50's. I'll probably get it years from now when it's heavily discounted

it's kind of a slow burn game, probably isn't for you if you're feeling that. if you haven't played mafia 1 definitive edition it's similar but it cuts out a lot of fat, it's more mission focused but still has a semi open world.

I actually did play Mafia 1 and the remake back to back very recently. So far, I like them the best, because of that focus.
Mafia 2 is alright, but for the love of me, I can't tell what the plot was all about outside of "random shit keeps happening to Vito Scaletta". And 3 is a VERY slow burn that I hope eventually will get a move on. Also, Lincoln Clay is a boring protagonist, but I blame that on him being black. Because you can't have black characters with any type of personality in this day and age, otherwise someone will be offended.
