Sailor Moon has a decent Genesis beat em up, the arcade game is good too. Avoid the Super Famicom versions, also the bratty and mean spirited nature inspired many young girls to have unruly behavior and foul attitudes in Japan, PreCure and DoReMi were attempts to correct this poor behaivor - and it worked.

This. Whenever something new and exciting comes out, this has become my newest concern. Even Clair Obscur has me worried about an artificial surge in JRPG games with parry and guard breaks -- when in reality, I only picked up E33 because it's been years since I've played a "4 friends standing in a row save the world" kinda game and I'd heard so many good things about E33. Every "grim dark" or "alt" magical girl anime that's come out since Madoka has been a blatant trend chaser and it's hurt the medium for it

It still bugs me that CCS has never had a good video game (emphasis: good) because the format, especially in the anime, would make it perfect for one. It was crazy that Sailor Moon got a couple decent games when the actual action scenes in both the manga and anime were half-assed stock footage fests.
