Wani recycled way too fucking much from Snoot. It's practically a legally distinct copy where all the problematic transphobia was replaced with cripples. Except it's actually worse because Mia is a dogshit antagonist compared to Naomi, Olivia looks fucking ugly compared to Fang, and the side characters are all complete downgrades (Naser > Ben, Reed > Damian, Rosa and Stella > Liz, etc.), and Inco is a dogshit protagonist with no relatability.
And the next game looks like an edgy indie RPG about depression, making the creative bankruptcy even more clear.

Snoot was absolutely laser-focused on the 4chan audience so it hit harder for most people here than Wani where Inco was an unironic normalfag. That said I did enjoy Wani a lot, the production value was notably higher and the animated sequences were absolutely golden.

Yeah this. The story hit harder because it played with the expectations and was written with anons in mind, hence why for a lot of us I would say that Anon hit harder than Inco. Inco is... ok, but some of his decisions and motivations made me double take because I was still in the mindset of Anon. It also doesn't help that outside of Damien and Iadakan, none of the other side characters hit as hard. We can blame the fucking spider over Mia and Ben, but not everything else that is somewhat worse than Snoot.
That said, Oliva and Fang both share a place in my heart and when the story wants to, it can hit the same feels Snoot did. I'm still curious on how Exit 665 is going to turn out. It's one thing to write a good story for a VN, it's another to make an RPG.

Half of Snoot Game's appeal is being a parody that is genuinely better than the actual game it's based on in every conceivable way, even releasing earlier. Also a milestone in both HMOFA, and /v/ finally one-upping Katawa Shoujo after a decade.

Wani is more of the same but as a legally distinct entity that costs money. Well-made, but just lacks the same edge.
