Just get lucky and hope you get any breed of pixie at the shrine and something with Joker DNA (you will have to unlock that guy), and them to the lab to fuse 'em. And you can either raise them for the sole purpose of becoming that, or just save scum and retry the fusion for a few ingame weeks until you get it.

They have like, 2 monsters looking at the Kaiju game, unless you mean from the gacha, but they might need to sharpen those up, or edit them to be higher quality in a new mainline game. You're right that a lot of ground work is done though. It might hurt the gacha profits, but people WANT a new mainline game, and not everyone is playing the gacha, even if they are fans. Ideally, fans who played the new main game, would check the gacha out(if they even can, as it's JP only), and gacha fans would play the new game.

The most fun aspect of Monster Rancher is the esoteric quests to unlock the rare monsters. The sim part is fine but the cycle of engaging in the sim to figure out how to unlock X to now use him in the cycle is kino

Could work. Each navi/monster type has associated cards that you can then cross breed to mix. Navis have an age limit (bitrot) but you could always store them. Netbattler tournaments primary gamemode. Doing explorations in the net by accepting various missions.

I think Monster Rancher 4's NTSC boxart is jarringly compelling. Like, goofy ahh eyeball nigga is hitting that Goku stare look so hard, it makes me think the game was directed by someone who was sick of making kiddy shit and knew his higher ups weren't interested in supervising the contents of the actual game so much as its potential as an ad for merch and secretly made a dark and gritty kinocore world like the production of Eva.
