it alright. If the style and creativity doesn't do it for you then you're just left with a super simplified platformer. I liked Goemon 64 a lot more

Trans people have lower IQs across the board and this game is simple, charming and speedrunner friendly.
Tooie is of course the superior game, but completely unapproachable to the fatherless, fetal alcohol brain.

I know there is literally zero fucking point in replying to you because you're not interested in arguing in good faith, but FOR THE RECORD no actually, trans people consistently score high on intelligence tests. It's actually a pretty significant difference.

Probably has something to do with low IQ dipshits not having enough emotional intelligence to become trans in the first place. If you're a conservative (who perform ASTOUNDINGLY poorly on IQ tests. Cope seethe etc) then you're never gonna be trans. Which means trans people have a lot of high IQ people among them just by process of elimination.

The camera is fine except for it randomly teleporting when it clips on geometry. Which becomes a non-issue mostly if you manage your camera responsibly

You can improve swimming controls 10x by holding down R/bumper while swimming it's just the game never fucking tells you this

The levels. Each level is so different from each other, but so memorable and evocative, and a lot of them follow the winning formula of Big Fucking Thing In the Middle with the rest of the level occuring around it, which is objectively the best type of level for this type of game (note how DK64, the inferior game, has no levels following that model)

If there's anything frustrating about Bubblegloop Swamp, it was the rematch crocodile minigame with those yellow fuckers.

Are you talking about the first game or the FPS segment in Tooie

If first game, hold R/bumper for better turning underwater. If Tooie, look out for a small, square room. It has one poop at floor level and another one everyone always misses cuz it's way up at the ceiling

Taste. BK is a Mario 64 clone that makes a few really sound tweaks to the formula. I feel for movementfags with this one, but the level design is immaculate. You can go off in any direction, there's almost always a point of interest within view, and you can blow through almost all of it in a single go. It's not so overbearing that it gets lost in its own sauce, each world is a solid hour or so of good, exploration-oriented gameplay, and the personality of it all makes it a delight to revisit time and again. Wonderful game.

I understand that Banjo isn't designed to be as acrobatic as the plumber, but I wish he had ONE move that was fun to cross intermediate distances with. Some little boost of speed or some trick he could do that makes traversal more fun. Could be a long jump. A triple jump. A spin jump. Do something with his forward roll so it has more momentum or bounciness to it. The Sunshine belly dive. Literally just give me one good move I can spam when I'm bored

It is a "holistic" game. Not a single feature, ability, or space on the map exists without purpose. If something is there, you will be using it. Take a single step and you will always end up finding something to do or collect. The game is basically zero downtime, you're never not engaging with it or playing on mental autopilot. It's basically the platonic ideal of a "complete" game.

If they ever do a remake I frankly don't even know if it's possible to make Terrydactyland into a good level. Not without overhauling it so drastically it'd essentially be erasing it and replacing it with a different dino level. It's that fucking mountain in the middle. It causes/exasperates the majority of the problems with the level but it's not like you can remove it while keeping it the same level

Tooie's problem isn't too much exploration. It's that it's bloated with added moves that are glorified keys and padded with backtracking. And by backtracking I don't mean revisiting previous levels, but things like having to transform into the money trunk that only functions to open a door so you can then split Banjo and Kazooie with the pad and then return back to play a minigame. The transformations are rarely fun for their own sake, and frankly most of the minigames are passable at best.

For me it all comes down to Rare unique writing and the way thy build their characters up, their British wit and Cynicism shows during the entire course of the story. Their is just nothing quiet like it particularly in all their classic plateforming titles and it makes for a more relatable and memorable gaming experience overall.
