Frick not a monster exactly, I remember being "Wow wtf?!" when I encountered the flood in Halo 1 but as far as actually being scared the thing I always come back to was the part in Fallout 3 where, er mild, spoilers **but the part where you're tripping tf out in the swamps in the Point Lookout dlc area and you hallucinate all kinds of crazy stuff really stuck with me ** I never played a whole lot of horror games until recently so the things I find most horrifying are concepts rather than monsters themselves

I really liked the Smile monster design. One of the few "modern horror" designs I liked along with the kid from Bring Her Back

Regenerators in the OG RE4 scared the shit out of me (the ones in the remake didn’t really creep me out as much for some reason). The breathing sound alone made my blood run cold and the way they move is so fucking creepy and unnatural. Also, the first time I saw a Crimson Head in RE 1 remake I shidded, pizzed and farted all at once.
