Oh, just one more thing Anon
I’m real sorry to bother you again, I know you’re a busy man, shitpostin' on /v/ and all, and heck, beating Dark Souls without a guide? That's—wow, that's somethin'. I mean, I get lost just lookin' at a map of that place, you know? And the drake sword? I didn’t even know you could miss that, hah... You must’ve really known your way around.
It’s just—ah, and I hate to bring it up—there’s this one little thing that’s been naggin’ at me. Just a small detail, probably nothing. See, you said you walked right past the drake sword, didn’t stop to shoot the tail. But... that means you’d have to go across the bridge. Past the dragon.
Now, I’m sure a guy like you could handle that, no problem. So I just keep wonderin’.. if you didn’t have a guide... how’d you know you could shoot the tail?
That’s the part I just can’t seem to get straight in my head.

I looked up the guide for every single item in Dark Souls, and that includes looking what equipment the NPCs were wearing so that I'd decide if I'd kill them or not.

Because my friend made fun of me for not shooting the tail and using the drake sword, Columbo, so I learned of it after the fact but I just used and upgraded a claymore throughout the entire thing

Fun writing, fun acting, additionally you get a fun time capsule into the misty pasts of LA since they've got some nice locations. They're also unusual since the viewer knows who dunnit 99% of the time so it's not a mystery for the viewer so you just sit bad and watch Columbo do his thing. They're well worth watching, there's only 1 or 2 stinkers in there

Columbo seems to be an oaf of a detective and is continually underestimated, but by the end of the episode he catches the real villain; usually based on a slip up and plays them into admitting or confessing to the crime.
It's really a twist on detective novels and it is rather fun in its presentation. It holds up quite well in spite of its age just because of how focused it is.

they only released 1 episode a month too, so they had more time to spend on cinematography and editing. each episode feels like a movie, especially in the early seasons

Drake Sword isn't even good. Not worth the time it takes to get. That was a weapon for a different era, one where didn't know how to roll or what scaling stats were.

fun detective show, you see the crime take place at the start, columbo locks onto the killer right away too. but the mystery is seeing how columbo gathers the clues and wears down the killer with his questions to get a confession.
it's kinda like an ace attorney case.

*Columbo examines a door frame while deep in thought and spills cigar ashes on the carpet*
>Excuse me, what on earth are you doing?
>>Oh, pardon me, sir. Just looking around the scene.
>Who the hell are you?
>>Uh, Lieutenant Columbo, sir. I'm a detective. Now uh, where did I place my badge...ah, here we are.
>I see...
>>Mr. Brown, I couldn't help but notice that the room where the victim suffocated to death had wooden doors, doesn't that seem a bit odd to you?
>I don't follow, Lieutenant, and quite frankly I have a great deal of work to do on my taxes, and I would rather not have people wandering around my house in the meantime.
>>Oh, I understand that, sir. My wife is all about getting our taxes done early, it's a mess around the house. Me? I can't seem to follow any of that gibberish.
>Yes, Lieutenant, I wish you luck with all of that.
>>And you too, sir.
*Columbo pretends to leave before turning around, much to the dismay of the house owner*
>>Just one more thing, I'm terribly sorry about all the mess that I've made here, it seems that I spilled ash all over your candle holder here. Now, let me write you a check to pay for cleaning that.
>That won't be necessary.
>>Oh, I couldn't just leave this mess here, I'd feel awful about it. Besides, the chief has instructed me to make sure that the department pays for any damages involved with us investigating things.
>Well, if you insist, Lieutenant.
>>Who shall I make the check out to?
>Jonathan Brown Katz.
>>Oh, and here I was thinking your last name was Brown. I apologize, Mr. Katz. What kind of name is that anyway? Swedish?
>It's Hebrew, Lieutenant.
*Avante-Garde ominous 70s music plays*
>>Now isn't that interesting.
