Yeah. Shiny Song is super fucked up for taking 765AS VOY@GER and the OFA outfit as hostages. Starlit Season is also fucked, I don't think I can force myself just to get past the intro.

Mainline/console games (and the new gacha game Gakuen iM@S, I think) are lite raising sims. You play minigames to raise your popstar(s)'s stats then rhythm segment to pass auditions/live shows. The other ones (that are still alive anyway) are just rhythm games

I played the PSP game with Makoto as my idol about a year ago. I can see myself possibly waifuing her had I not already have a waifu. She's really cute, and her game was pretty fun except for the moonrunes minigame (you know the one). Looking at the OG arcade game looks really fun especially the whole online PvP feature. I wished they could remake the OG arcade game to consoles/PC with the online PvP feature. I would love to experience that era of iM@S

I played Idol master 2, Live For You on 360 and Platinum Stars on PS4. Id really like another proper management style game. I find them really fun. I guess the only reason we're not getting new games is that it's easier to just make mobile shit and get loser paypigs to give them money without any real effort.

You're not far off the mark, but it's more for people really into idol culture more than weebs who just like anime.
You manage a girl group and schedule fan meets, autograph signings, promotions, and train the girls with dance/vocal lessons. Then you have concerts where you face off against other groups and just like real jpop/kpop, you get ratings from the audience and album sales and stuff.

Depends on the game, some of them are raising sim, and some of them are straight up rhythm game.
It has heavier focus on story/character though, so it's kinda like Ace Attorney/Danganronpa like VN too, but with a bit more gameplay.

I don't think Starlit Season flopped that bad for them to a point they completely pull the plug from making AS games, the game got a decent amount of support with DLC and free updates.
I hope they make Starlit Season 2 with more variety to characters because the characters they chose was a bit lackluster and safe.

I thought they were fine if not underrated. Being able to produce Shiika post-game was nice too.
The problem I had with Starling Season was the characters they chose for CG was solely picked from old ass CG anime instead of popular characters from the current state of the game.
Same with ML picks with them picking characters that are reserved, instead of picking characters that would contrast with AS characters.

I only played enzamas, sfp and gakuen but my interest in imas petered over time to the point where I just enjoy looking at the pics but not engaging in the franchise.
