I've said since we got release details about Marvel Rivals that Warner Bros are fundamentally incapable of producing a Rivals competitor. Whatever they make is going to look like Suicide Squad KTJS, and it's going to be loaded to the goddamn gills with predatory microtransactions. They are going to completely and utterly miss everything that's made Rivals successful because WB are the kiss of fucking death.

Starting roster should be a healthy mix of Headliners, B-tiers, and literal whos from both the hero and villain side. I'd say 30% Headliners, 60% B-tiers, 10% literal whos.
Don't bother trying to make some 'Oh this is why everyone's fighting on the same battlefield' shit, no one really cares about that. Powerscaling is and will always be gay and whoever wins is dependent on who's writing.
Since there's going to be monetization with a battlepass, make it so that completing the entire battlepass gets you enough credits to buy the next battlepass + a little extra if it's completed within the original timeframe.

DC has a lot of derivative heroes they could add, though. Superman, Batman, Flash, and Green Lantern all have a whole family of characters that could be added after them. marvel rivals feels very flat and unrealistic physics-wise compared to overwatch, which had more momentum and bounce and action-reaction to it. Overwatch felt more immersive because of that,while rivals feels like you're carboard cutouts moving around at set velocities, like it's an early prototype before they bothered to add all the tactile stuff.

If DC make an overwatch clone too, I would want them to at least reach the level of overwatch when it comes to that kind of thing - I want it to feel the weight and impact and movement much more keenly

Just give DC to Capcom and let them cook a DC vs. and some single player games.

They won't do a DC Rivals game, too far behind and a Western studio would probably fuck it up purely from how much its going to cost to get a foot in the door. I wouldn't see how this would be any different than Multiversus, comes in with the roster and just fucks up core gameplay and content releases too slow. The moment it stumbles its dead in 2027-2028.

Unironically better off making some Marvel Heroes clone but DC with POE2 stumbling a bit and maybe going in a different direction.
