Agree that it's mid. It plays better than the prequel but it's a pretty lame rehash of the first game's story beats and missions, with forced MGSV "hey, remember this?" mechanics.

Plus, Norman reedus is incredibly flat in this game, almost as if he didn't really want to do it but was forced to because Kojima is his friend.

They took out any difficulty of doing anything. Where making the roads in the first game was a massive help in this one it's just busywork. Trucks are unstoppable even without upgrading. The online structures given to you for free guarantees you'll never be without whatever you need. There's no cost to building anything there's no need to even prepare. There's no reason to use anything but the first rifle given to you. There's only 2 or 3 places you might ever need a ladder or climbing rope in the whole game. The story is less interesting than the first too.

My biggest gripe with both games is that the building mechanics seem disingenuous, as in, they claim that they're keeping tally of how many resources are invested in the infrastructure, but it feels "manipulated" somehow. It feels as if I'm the only one actually building anything, and there's always a paver suspiciously close to completion that I can just drive over to and complete. It feels as if the game is not really doing what it claims to do.

The same thing as every other single play game. People BEAT it and moved on.

We tell you this every single time you ask about any single player game. You keep forgetting as much as Joe Biden forgetting where he is.

Only cool thing was Neil Vana and even then, he's a copy of Unger. Dropped the game after finding Tomorrow because I just knew how ridiculous the game would get. Konami was right for firing Kojima, he's a fucking hack that should have just made another cool military game.

Oh, that sounds like shit.
The first game was kind of already too easy in terms of having all of these balance mechanics, but hardly ever really making you trip, unless you're a complete idiot who can't hold down the shoulder buttons.

So Kojima is fully "one of the club" yeah?
His games have totally had some weird soft disclosure and psychological conditioning stuff going on since the 90's.
