Give me the slowpokes but I just finished Portable Ops, PW, GZ, and TPP. What the fuck was up with the massive tone whiplash between these games? PW had you build this comfy base with your mercbros and all the side characters were your little buddies who get into hijinks after the tapes.

GZ and TPP had everyone absolutely fucking jaded and bitter and there is no longer any sense of camaraderie, just feels like a bunch of soldiers trauma bonding with each other over being depressed and shit.

It tried to display Big Boss' fall from grace and him becoming a ruthless mercenary that would gladly let a hospital of innocents die just so him and his body double could escape. My issue is not with that but with the fact that it's completly unfinished.
