I played 2 and Brohood but skipped Revelations. Is it good as a old man kino game?

Replace Snake with Booker or Lee and you've got the "old man protects young girl" quadfecta, if counting Shao Jun for Ezio.

The entire game is about Ezio being tired of the Assassin cause after 30 years and also realizing he's missed out on having a personal life, so I'd say it fits. Plus you get to see old AltaΓ―r too

What was it with the early 2010s and all these studios making games based on the same premise independently from one other? Did they all happen to watch Children of Men at the same time?

Middle aged men can be great in videogames, with way more depth and potential than a young character. Sadly you need a skilled writer for this, and the industry can't provide the moment.

Dishonored 2 feels more like a sequel to the DLCs than it does the first game's plot, unironically. You'll be pretty lost if you don't know what happened in them and they're great in their own right, a perfect companion piece to D1 and personally I think better than D2, no reason not to play them

what the other anon says, definitely play 1's DLCs first
even better than the base game and contain more story hooks for the sequel

only thing you should be skipping is 2's DLC
