I'm a platformerfag and a turn basefag. I will never have the skill to beat a souls like. Now, thanks to Noewiz I can finally enjoy the game.
I think the achievements should specify which mode they were earned, so the hardcore players get their credit for beating it on the hardest mode available. And, indicate that trophies for the everyone else, that it was earned on easy/normal mode.
Do that and everyone wins.

It's so hilarious to see fromdrones seethe over difficulty options when literally the only reason from doesn't do it is because they are too fucking lazy because creating good difficulty options takes time and more testing. That's why their ng+ also sucks donkey balls in almost all their games barring one or two exceptions.

There's virtually no argument against difficulty mode selection in offline soulslikes. Just make sure the game is properly balanced for the hardest mode and it serves as a baseline for its difficulty. But if the game has coop and pvp, then difficulty levels can go to shit, everyone needs to play on the same field.

This is the best Soulslike I've ever played.
Probably the only time I've been happy to play something very derivative. It fixed all the issues I'd usually have and was more engaging and interesting in every single way.

The bosses don't have a lot of health so even if you're bad it doesn't take many tries to beat something by luck
If you use all the tools it provides it's really not that hard

The bosses in the final stretch including the DLC can give you some trouble if you're bad at timing dodges/parries, but if you're decent at rollslops the only hard part are the optional boss rematches in their final difficulty, especially if you don't go to NG++ first for maxed out P-organ and enough levels to hit softcap on every stat
