Sacred 2 is weird because its map is like 8 times too big for the time and with like 6 vastly different architectures, factions, etc.

All of that for a Diablo clone where you play an angel whose footwear for the entire game is several kind of high heels and artifact high heels.

It's entirely too German. World far too big, far too autistic, far too many quests, skimpy angel with high heels. Quintessentially German gaming.

but yeah It's quintessential eurojank and that's what I like about it. They literally sacrificed the entire company to push the game out, and while it's nothing revolutionary gameplay-wise it has a certain charm. It's also special for me because it caused some of my first boners :)

Honestly I don't remember much about Sacred 2, as my save was corrupted when I got into the Human Kingdom twenty years ago. I just remember the map was holy shit too big, the Seraphim class wore high heels and bikini armors as a cultural tradition, the elf capital was too big and really pretty, and the gameplay was decent.

Uh. Nice. Maybe I'll buy the remaster.
