The amount of cheaters I've seen in CSS, CS 1.6, Quake, RTCW, UT etc are a tiny fraction, even though they have non functioning anti cheat. I've seen less cheaters in those games in my entire lifetime than I have seen playing CoD for a week. Cheating is only popular in games where you tangibly earn something from your performance, like Tarkov or Rust, or earning drops and ranks in CS2, which allows you to boast to friends or other players. If BF6 had no progression systems, no skins, nothing to monetize beyond the purchase sale, no ranks, no xp - just a straight up combined arms shooter, it could launch without a clientside anticheat and there'd be maybe 1 cheater in 30 games.
