Racing games should have deep boosting mechanics so I can continue to go faster and faster.
More fast = more fun

The slope, and aerodynamics. 1) a lot of air got under it very quickly and 2) air didn't attach properly on the top.
Massive pressure differential between the underside (high pressure) and the top (low pressure) -> massive suction towards the low pressure zone (the top)

You'd be amazed at what can fly in the right conditions. I once saw an inflatable river raft with 8 people lift 6' above the water in a head wind, hover for a bit and then flip over dumping everyone out before landing again.

I remember this happening in grand turismo 2 with the suzuki I think and another car or two. However you couldn't fully flip so you'd be driving at 250mph sat vertically.

Advanced enough that you can be sent into a wall in ways other than delibrately turning into it and accelerating, and the probability of that increasing with increasing speed. It can be slow, it can be simplified, as long as you can actually fail by trying to do the right thing. A lot of modern games somehow can't get even that much right.
