What is the optimal resolution to run this at on a steam deck? The font looks smooth at 900Γ540 but I can set it higher which makes the font jagged. I don't get it.

This game has a hard mode and i didn't even know about it at first. Its much better than the default game, but you need to beat it on normal difficulty once to unlock it
I can't fucking understand why this wasn't available at the start, why they didn't include a life system and why you can catch yourself from knockback by jumping, it feels like they got scared of how difficult it'd become as a result and toned it down for the casuals

Why can't people just enjoy this game? Yes it's different to than the OG trilogy. It looks beautiful and is a fun afternoon play-through. It's not going to supplant the originals, and never intended to. It's not dogshit like NG4

The answer is much more simple, KT is planning to sunset Ryu ( Itagaki's reboot version ) with a new reboot in order to avoid paying royalties so they'll continually make NG more pozzed in the process, a potential gayflix/gaymazon anime will be the final nail in the coffin to completely shit on Itagaki's reboot version before they'll do another reboot.

Yeah, that's true, but it ends up feeling very watered down as a result
I would've been a little more understanding if it was any other game series, but in this case it makes them look like they're ashamed of the series' reputation, while nostalgiabaiting your ass the whole time
Just in case you guys weren't sure there is in fact a cabal of schizos that make it their mission to shit on literally every new game by just making shit up
Liked the demo at first but got really put off once the girl joins andthe focus now shifts to hamfisted shadow realm puzzle segments that kill all the momentum

there seems to have been a couple autists who latched into this game and decided to turn it into "the new thing /v/ hates" without realising how insane they look because anyone else from the outside looking in just goes "oh it's a simple 2d action game with neat pixel art, it's just s small side amuse-bouche, it's either neat or it's bad and either case you move on from it quickly, why are there people being so obsessive"

I loved it but it's different from classic Shinobi. Then again a lot of Shinobi games are pretty different from one another, so I don't mind it so much. It's clearly trying to be a sequel and not just a throwback, which I appreciate. Maybe I would hsve been happier with Shinobi III Part 2 but I like how Art of Vengeance is shaping up.
