But I played some games with my friends when the FF set came out, and it actually did make me appreciate the way MtG's card rules play with each other. From my experience, they all did seem pretty explicitly worded, and once you understand a little bit about how it works and interacts with other cards and rules, it makes a lot of other ones click into place as well. At least that was my experience.

Before commander plagued magic, multiplayer cards were dirt cheap. Rhystic study for example was really affordable. I say kill the secondary market for being a bunch of greedy jews.
I remember the best trade I ever made, 3 copies of Geist of St Taft for a stack of cards that included a playset of swords to plowshares.
