It's really not, the buffer is extremely lenient so once you get the timing down it isn't that difficult. The whiff j.2C into 662C pick up is way harder than any of his dash cancel stuff since it has character specific timings, but you have the option to just pick up with 5A instead for an easier but less damaging combo.

Ignoring the hyperbole of the length of time you need to practice, I seriously can't wrap my head around the fact that people will willingly spend money on a competitive multiplayer game like a fighting game and then bitch about how they need to learn and improve in order to be able to continue competing.

People are willing to improve these games are just needlessly obtuse. Like even if we accept the fact that you have to train solely for "execution" alone. They not even good at that. BB itself has a challenge mode that give you like 10 hand picked combos at different levels. At that point why not just have every combo? Even if the devs couldn't figure it out all you'd have to do is record every combo once someones done it. Even if that was too inconvenient they could have just given you the combo recipe option and let players share them themselves. And if the were just gonna have ten handpicked combs why they fuck wouldn't they just choose the optimal damage combo of every starter? Like people find this shit day 1 maybe day three at the latest. And even then their combo learning features suck ass. There is no slow mo, no automatic repeat, no try from the midsection or ending. And thats just combo shit.
