It's really not, the buffer is extremely lenient so once you get the timing down it isn't that difficult. The whiff j.2C into 662C pick up is way harder than any of his dash cancel stuff since it has character specific timings, but you have the option to just pick up with 5A instead for an easier but less damaging combo.

Ignoring the hyperbole of the length of time you need to practice, I seriously can't wrap my head around the fact that people will willingly spend money on a competitive multiplayer game like a fighting game and then bitch about how they need to learn and improve in order to be able to continue competing.
What fun is there in a competition if you have to put in zero effort to win it? And it's not like these fighters are asking you to do backflips, you're literally complaining about moving a stick forward twice and I just had a conversation with a friend who said he couldn't hang with CotW because he can't wrap his head around breaks which is literally just pressing a button after doing a special input.

Naoto is one of the harder execution characters in the game. Go play Jin, Ragna, Azrael, Mai, Es, Celica, or some of the Murakumo's.

Learning how to do naoto dash cancels doesn't automatically win you the game. You still need to learn how to actually play well in addition to mastering character specific execution. The former you can only do by playing against other people and getting experience, watching replays, identifying mistakes, etc.

People are willing to improve these games are just needlessly obtuse. Like even if we accept the fact that you have to train solely for "execution" alone. They not even good at that. BB itself has a challenge mode that give you like 10 hand picked combos at different levels. At that point why not just have every combo? Even if the devs couldn't figure it out all you'd have to do is record every combo once someones done it. Even if that was too inconvenient they could have just given you the combo recipe option and let players share them themselves. And if the were just gonna have ten handpicked combs why they fuck wouldn't they just choose the optimal damage combo of every starter? Like people find this shit day 1 maybe day three at the latest. And even then their combo learning features suck ass. There is no slow mo, no automatic repeat, no try from the midsection or ending. And thats just combo shit. Like remember that third party program you had to download just to get the training mode cpu to do basic shit like use as reversal, or get it to test out different scenarios with if then conditionals? I don't even know if thats industry standard yet I know at least street fighter lets you playback slots after different conditions but its not like you can do anything.

DBFZ was 7 years ago, Granblue isn't an airdasher, and Marvel may count but it's primarily a tag fighter. UNI isn't "really" an airdasher since it more accurately has KoF style hops while MBTL has noticeably less air game than its predecessor.
