The writing in this game is so fucking shit. The fact they are making a second one is fucking insane. Also that $80 marked down to $70 shit they did was cringe as fuck. The game is not even worth $70 based upon the turd that was the first one

To be fair, i thought the controls were janky and i just didnt "get it" the first time i tried outer wilds and kind of didnt give it its fair chance because its so unlike anything else I had ever played, but a friend convinced me to give it another chance and eventually it clicked for me and I was unable to stop playing until I finished it. I would give anything to be able to play it again for the first time, because it is genuinely so much fun to explore and discover things on your own. And the best part is that there is no right order to any of the discoveries, you could totally somehow accidentally end up turning off your engines and gliding past the big ass fish on your very first launch (unlikely).

I also didnt like it at first and often had trouble finding the right balance between trying to land and pilot carefully vs trying to outrun the timer, but then that became part of the fun. Mastery of the controls, understanding how to pilot the ship in a way that wasnt too slow but wasnt too fast.

The game just might not be for you. Thats ok. No need to piss and shit your diaper.

That's the one that triggers me the most in let's plays, hold w and act confused when you smash into the planet you're trying to land on. Repeat the exact same process, never once stopping to consider why it keeps happening. Some people just aren't made to handle concepts of even this moderate amount of complexity.

It's fine to think that at first, if you didn't have any prior experience with zero-g movement in other games. It takes time to get used to it. But to not even try to figure it out, to drop the game and simply blame it on the game? Yes, that's on you.
