I'm not Notch. But if you're going to treat me like I am anyway, I might as well "Leak" some information that may or may not turn out to be true. And deny it on Twitter in either case.
Levers and Chests is probably not the final title. Not unless it gets really popular.
It won't have AI art much longer. It's further along than it looks.
There are some inherently fun and broken things that happen when you try to blend turn based and real time mechanics. Arcanum Of Steamworks and Magick had the same problems, for example.
"Minecraft 2" is still in the pipeline. It's just not coming until well after Levers and Chests.
Titles including WorldForge, Project Successor, and Ancient Parchments have been suggested, but none have been taken seriously so far.
Notch put together a prototype for a system with dynamic voxel scaling for hypothetically infinite detail before the team talked him out of it.
Notch also considered randomly generated capital-R Rogue-Like dungeons to generate in the world, with completely unique mechanics to the rest of the game. Conquering them would grant you special crafting and automation resources you couldn't get any other way. Except Creative Mode, of course.
