Really? I watched that movie recently and felt it had way too many scenes with close-ups of people talking about how they feel, and not enough Hulk smashing shit

I mean the idea is pretty obvious. What OP is saying is that the medium relies on and caters to primarily younger people as opposed to jaded older people that had that experience when they were younger and endlessly chase it instead of just letting it go.
Which isn't exactly a black and white statement and hard to agree and disagree with since while video games are a waste of time, they have shown to adapt to a broader modern audience in the same way that comics have.

Yeah they're both shit now.
Watchmen was a comic for adults and it came out in '86 btw, faggot

I didn't want it to be JUST Hulk smashing shit, I wanted it to have MORE Hulk smashing shit.
The dialogue moments are fine, but there were too many

I used to be friends with people like the Eltingville Club. Holy shit it was the worst, it was always one-upsman-ship, nasty insults, and backstabbing. I’m glad I got away from it, but the Eltingville epilogue captured it so well. “Were you guys ever friends?”
Well we fucking weren’t, it was always triangulation, not friendship, and those two things aren’t the same.
