I hate Sonic because it was the first video game franchise that really disappointed me after I became a big fan of it. Even being a dumb little kid who couldn't tell a good game from a shit game wasn't able to save me from the triple nut punch that was 06, Secret Rings and then Black Knight, always have been wary of Sonic since and the only Sonic games I've liked since then have been Mania, Generations and Racing Transformed.

I still love Sonic, but I hate it too.

Literally the only bad games are Free Riders and Shadow. Free riders since the menu is outright broken and can't be used and Shadow for sabotaging his character. 06 is debatable when you remove the loading screens and glitches.

Sonic was mostly excellent, besides a few subpar handheld spinoffs, up until Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Heroes, which were mixed, and then Shadow and Sonic '06 which were bad, after that Sonic Unleashed was decent, Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations were great, Sonic Lost World was mediocre, Sonic Forces was subpar, and Sonic Frontiers is decent, it's been a long time since Sonic's been a high standard of quality, but he's still mostly above average and fun, /v/ exaggerates Sonic's quality negatively, there are very few bad mainline Sonic titles and even a lot of the spinoffs are pretty good.
