If all you're doing is bombing retards in a pub then 1 rocket to get in and 2 rockets to kill them is plenty. Combine with gunboats and you will end the exchange on full HP so you can reload and do it all over again. Great item for roaming. Obviously if you have a half-decent medic you should immediately change to stock but you can't depend on that in a pub.

The Black Box should have a 15% damage penalty instead of missing 1 rocket. It’s a noticable downgrade in damage, but I prefer the rush into danger and deal as much damage as possible playstyle and the current BB just rewards camping like a sissy.

I missed the combo pyro, it was more fun fighting them than the bullshit phlog+Uber combo. I just tried it for couple months before they butchered back in 2016 (used to play w+m1 since 2011 because my laptop sucks back then). They also nerf the backburner hitreg for some reason. There's no point in using it anymore as ambush pyro since it won't crit despite being aimed directly at a heavy's back.

I will never give up my shotgun. I enjoy few things more than enemies who are big brained enough to count to 4 to see I'm out of rockets, get up in my face, and eat a 180 damage shotgun crit instead. Gunboats is fine if you want to do epic Quake divebombz and medic picks or whatever but I want to kill all enemy gamers as an offense class like God intended.

Its always been 3 degrees of random deviation. The only thing they've changed is to make it so overloading eats one of your loaded rockets so you cant fly indefinitely and still have a 3 rocket salvo, and to make it so you need to switch weapons to get ammo from dispenser/cart.
The only way they kill the weapon is making the overload not count as rocket jumping but even then itd still be worth using, just more painful to use.
