after how badly Mario Maker 2 sold even with pandemic boost i think that series is pretty well finished. I wouldn't expect to see them try to revive it anything this gen or possibly even next gen.

Don’t need to, with the 64 recomp getting netcode multiplayer there’s definitely a market for a 64 version of Mario 35, where a bunch of Marios are dumped into a level and try to get as many stars as possible without dying or being eliminated.

New Mario game that fits the -y/"ee" sound (Galaxy, Odyssey). Super Mario Rhapsody. Entire 3D Mario game themed around music with some music gimmick baked into the platforming, entire worlds themed around genres of music or some shit.
