I wish Jurassic Park had more games that weren't just Park Sims.

I actually want more Park Sims, but with better content. The problem with the current model of Jurassic Park games is you either get "comfy park where the dinosaurs break out only if you fuck up" or you get "first person survival horror" and no in between.
There needs to be a sense of inherent discovery and "playing god" to the Jurassic Park IP. Instead it's exactly what you expect, either an idealized version of the movie or "what if the movie was horror game?"

Ideally, a JP park sim that fits with the movie's themes would allow you to create a comfy dinosaur park but as a challenge. Make chaos an everpresent mechanic and force the player to actually pay attention to details, from figuring out dinosaur traits to fixing flaws in design before something bad happens (And when shit inevitably happens, you'd have to find a way to deal with it before it snowballs into a disaster). Basically, a Jurassic Park game should be about crisis management more than anything else

I think an interesting mechanic would be if security measures made guests uncomfortable. Seeing higher and higher voltage fences, security cameras, bunkers, and sentry turrets should make guests feel uneasy. This would provide a balancing act to security. You need a certain level of security to protect guests, but if there's too much they'll get scared and the popularity of the park will decrease.

I wish we had more dinosaur movies that weren't just Reddit Park rehashes.
