People don't see a movie to watch the fucking forest. The forest is backdrop, it should add to the scene or else be as unobtrusive as possible. If you're making a live action movie your actors look real (because they ARE real) and as such the forest should look real as well or it's out of place. Realism is as valid a stylistic choice as anything else and "if it's too real people would rather drive to the forest" is a completely unhinged take. This guy is the perfect stereotype of a midwit who latches on to an idea that isn't his own but lacks the ability to critically examine to see if it even makes sense in context, and you're even lower for mindlessly copypasting it into a discussion.
