how do you learn to enjoy a bloody mary?
That shit combines the two most disgusting things on the planet: celery and raw tomato juice, and somehow people like it
>>717288109 (OP) >barely ever drink >get strong cravings for liquor whenever I see it in shows or films
is alcoholism hereditary? i drink like three times a year for social gatherings but I want to go out and down a bottle of whiskey so bad
>>717289317
you likely just got a lot of pent up stress you want to unload. Hit up your co-workers and shoot the shit at a bar, I did that this saturday and Im way less stressed now
>>717289317
all i can say is in my family, we have a specific kind of autism/mental illness that is "cured" by alcohol so in that sense yes it is hereditary
>>717289954
no, that's pretty normal after drinking, but can be alieviated by eating food and drinking water when you're out drinking instead of just having a bunch of raw liquor rot your stomach
>>717290523
Also sitting in one place all night doesn't help, at least moving around makes your body absorb more of the alcohol
You digest far slower while sleeping, so that shit's just sitting in your stomach all night, turning everything else in your stomach into an eldrich horror of shit

grain got more expensive
cuz ukraine is literally one of the largest granarys of the world
not without reason africa feared a even harsher famine due the war
Joking aside, the best shit you can drink for "proper" hydration is pedialyte, but the shit is like 8 dollars a bottle and tastes like warm weak gatorade no matter how cold you drink it. Hospitals/urgent care uses it for people who get emaciated/heatstroke.
>>717288109 (OP) >excited to try out alcohol when I was old enough >reach drinking age >it's shit >no matter what i try it all tastes like shit >the one thing i did like I haven't been able to recreate despite several attempts
I don't know if i just have weird taste buds or what. Everyone I mention this to ends up saying the exact same thing "You don't drink alcohol for the flavor, you drink it to get drunk" which is bizarre because then they would all just be drinking the strongest stuff possible and not 20 bottles of expensive "piss water".

I don't drink alcohol but even I could make out the nuance that some people just like to drink a little to get that pleasant effect but not become absolutely wasted or have vision and reflex stimuli issues
I got drunk with wine and beer yesterday, I go to the epilogue in Red Dead Redemption and can't remember what happened, I have flases of events but that's it. Bad idea to get drunk an play, at least for argument heavy games
>>717293565
Have you ever had straight 100 proof vodka? It's not very pleasant to drink. That's why mixed drinks are a thing. Easy to down. And beer/wine.
I will never drink alcohol. I'm already addicted to Energy Drinks, if I ever drink alcohol even once I will probably end up an alcoholic. Same reason I never smoked cigarettes and weed once.
>>717293565 >You don't drink alcohol for the flavor, you drink it to get drunk
This is alcoholic cope. I drink alcoholic drinks exclusively for the taste, I don't like getting drunk. You have to have a tongue that's adjusted to bitter flavors and pain, or it's just not going to ever work. That's okay too. Don't feel pressured.
russians were up on the streets cause the prizes for vodka get higher and higher
sure one thing were the sanctions
but it was the lack of access to cheap grain
and by the way
vodka is not entirly made out of grain but off potatoes
rum isn't grain based AT ALL

I'm a different anon from the one you were talking to. I am indicating my scorn and derision because you said you drink non alcholic drinks you absolutely silly goose.
>>717296030
That's what I assumed. Any that I've tried are trash. Whiskey, beer, etc., the same process that makes them alcoholic gives them their taste. The non-alcoholic versions are a gross facade.
Certain virgin cocktails and mocktails however can be really good. I'd almost rather have a virgin strawberry daiquiri than a real one, for instance.

What the fuck is a disco elysium >it's a game
I know that, I mean genuinely what the SHIT is a disco elysium
So elysium is a theoretical state of enlightenment/maximum happiness, and a disco is a club where you saturday night fever
So is he saying discos are the highest places of happiness?

When I was visiting family down in Florida I found this bodega close to their house that sold 40s of Smirnoff Ice and I wasn't sober for that entire vacation. It's not the proudest drink, but it's the one for me.
Also, uh, video games. We played Mario Kart and I managed to win a few races. Thank you Bullet Bill and muscle memory.
>>717288145 >Water
I finally listened to you waterfags and it was the worst decision of my life. I decided that if I was going to try drinking water I was going to do it right, so I drove to the beach since the ocean is the most popular water on the planet and therefore the best. I drank a bunch of it and it made me sick. Last time I listen to anonymous shitposts on /v/.
