Skyrim on PS3
Has anyone on /v/ beaten Skyrim on the PS3 despite the game and the console crapping out after 10+megabytes of save data?
Anonymous No.717289975 [Report]
i had a 500h+ save on the PS3 that eventually stopped loading

can you play it modded if your console is jailbroken? nothing crazy of course since it would be like hard modding LE

I think it's doable I just have never seen anyone do it ever. The better question is: "Can you do all of the quests (to some degree) on Skyrim PS3". Make it a youtube video, pay me like 3000 dollars once you make your million bucks.

I played 100s of hours on PS3 back in the day. I was a kid and didn't know any better. I remember having to delete old saves so it would keep working. It still became one of my favorite games of all time.

What does "beaten the game" mean? Yeah you can complete the main quest, but doing all the side quest is damn near impossible. The PS3 struggled with Fallout 3 and NV.

yeah I beat the game and yes it performed poorly at times but never crapped out on me. I do remember immediate regret buying the PS3 version over 360 even though I had both consoles lol.

The chest in Breezehome I dumped all my shit in would take literally a minute to open

Several 100hr+ playthroughs and it was fine.

All that happened was that the save files got progressively more and more bloated or something - which made textures and stuff occasionally load slowly.

I remember New Vegas on PS3 and Days Gone on PS4 being 10 times more unplayable

Yeah, like the other anon I have like 590+ hours on it, DLCs included. After a while it became unplayable, running at 10 fps, so I gave up on it. Played on a crt too, lel

Man, I was in the same boat. Picked up the PS3 version 'cause I thought Blu-ray and Cell processor meant gaming future or some dumb kid logic. Got all the way through the main quest and most faction lines, but by the time I hit Solstheim with Dragonborn DLC, the frame drops were basically quicksand. It felt like trudging through Oblivion gates in molasses. Still, respect for pushing through. Anyone who beat it on PS3 deserves a badge of honor with "Endured the Lag" on it.

Yes, but it would have to be jailbroken and modded with new hardware like an ssd

It's where I played it for the first time ever, yeah. Same with Oblivion before it. All I remember are the minutes long loading screens and the lack of DLCs

This happened to me so much. I remember feeling the regret and FOMO watching framerate comparison videos for literally every third party game in that era.

I played it back then, did most stuff and fell in love with it. I remember my first playthrough got softlocked since the game's camera got dettached from my character when transforming into a werewolf somehow and reloading wouldn't fix it. Also remember being scared of opening doors since it meant 5 minute loading screens

I just remembered that I got the platinum on Ps3 as my first platinum trophy ever lol

Yeah, multiple times. Save file size only became an issue like 100+ hours in it unless you were doing retarded as fuck shit like decorating the inside of a house and killing the games memory for no reason

>The game just implodes when your savefile gets to 10mb
This shit is just so funny, how can Bethesda even come up with bugs like this?
I remember playing the ps3 version but i never completed it.

Yes, the loading times and crashes were agony. At one point I had more than a dozen Louis Letrush standing in front of Windrun before they finally patched it. Fun fact, its the game that finally melted my PS3's GPU when a mage cast fireball in my face. I had YLOD since then (PS3 wouldn't boot anymore) and had to have it fixed at a local repair shop.
