I have to clarify that I also dropped it at roughly the halfway point of the game because I lost interest. Then years later someone recommended the second DLC to me because I like detective / mystery games and then even more years passed until I saw the dlc for dirt cheap and bought it.
So I replayed it with extremely low expectations this time and idk why but a lot of the humor actually clicked with me and I enjoyed the second half of the main story. Admittedly I did originally like the priest follower and the second map with the quest with the pajeet because it was such a perfect representation of jeets and retarded corporate culture.
I mentally blocked out everything mechanical about the game, ya know skills, stats, as well as the followers I didn't like and blasted through the game instead of playing it like a fallout game.
I played through the first DLC which was shit, had a promising start but immediately devolved into a shooting gallery and the whole story was told through notes, just garbage. The second dlc however was basically a mystery adventure which was right up my alley and was imo tonally perfect and packed to the gills with gags and subtle humor. It was way more than simple corporate gags, it made fun of hollywood, shady lawyers and the corporate parody stuff was actually really well done all wrapped up in a 1950s style whodunnit. That dlc is what the main game should've been quite frankly. I'm hoping the sequel is like that dlc, if it is I think it'll get a much better reception especially if they make the gameplay and rpg elements actually worth engaging with.
