So I got a bunch of Ryzeal shit in the 2k gems I spenr pulling for Ao Bao Qu is Ryzeal worth spinning up? I'm kind of getting a bit bored MALICING all over dudes and want to try something else for a spell.

Their gimmick is that all of their in-theme fusions have to use a monster from the hand, and the fusion materials get all of their value after the fusion. Faimena allows for turn 0 fusion plays and can do some war crimes like a turn 0 Winda or Dragoon, but it is very inconsistent. They also have their own Firewall Dragon fusion and a triggered pop fusion, both of which can summon themselves from the grave conditionally to push for more damage. More importantly they can actually use Secreterion Dragon, which is a nightmare to see in the mirror match and a good extender in general for the theme.
Dragonmaids are a decent archetype to splash with them since it allows for a fusion into Mysterion after Sheou has been used thanks to Faimena, but they work best either on their own with a bunch of handtraps or with K9. In the OCG, Magistus is another strong option to splash with the theme. The Frightfur engine also works fine with it. Despite being a theme of dragons and spellcasters that fuse, they don't work that well with Branded.
They do struggle a lot if they happen to get behind in monsters to use as fusion materials.
They are currently the cheapest of the 3 themes from Justice Hunters, but all of them are fairly affordable for completely meta changing archetypes
Their archetype name also got re-localized to Dracotail to avoid copyright issues.

It's a kinda cheap and fun petdeck that can go infinite with stupid youtube combos. The new Shi En is incredible even if you go for a lower power board. The extra effects that the new tuners give to the synchros are good enough to be impactful.
No one card combos in 2025 is a dealbreaker for competitive viability though. Droll fucks the deck pretty hard as well. Nibiru usually isn't an issue though with the new Shi En.

I dunno if I would agree with "better", Leafish sends fish to the GY and that's pretty important for Ghoti.
I do think it's worth testing though, I can see some lines where it could be a great starter, that I can't deny.
Like I said, I'll have to do some testing to see how it works in practice. I've been running Ghoti to Diamond/Master

No, it's terrible, the deck doesn't even have combos, because fusing constuct, winda or apkallone turn one has no purpose (except floodgating yourself), your best cards in fact aren't even shaddolls, they're aleister/meltdown and nadir servant, which set up your field and GY for 2 negates and winda on the next turn. I haven't touched the deck in over 2 years on MD, but i have tried to make it work irl with all sorts of engines (fiendsmith and melodious mainly), but it's sadly just too outdated. If we're lucky, it'll be the other villain archetype featured on the "terminal world" series this year, which so far has managed to fix every single deck that has been part of it.

Steamed sabersaurus is actually a pretty good card, it makes the transcendosaurus monsters proc their bonus effects, swaps any defense position monster to ATK, and boosts UCT/drillygnathus just like dugares does, except you can summon him under the xeno meteorus lock. All this is obviously not as good as the accesscode OTK line, but it's nice seeing dinosaur pile gain more of an identity instead of relying on generic cards.

Here's what I'm planning to run. Might cut the Bystials which would mean cutting all the lvl 10s. I've played the deck a lot and honestly never wished I had the second Blazar. If you're getting two level 12s out on field you probably won regardless, and Quasar helps push for OTKs since it doesn't banish itself.
Though admittedly most of the time I spent with the deck was pre-support and obviously you can easily put out double Blazar now with Primus, but Blazar+Supernova/Legatia/Quasar depending on the matchup seems fine to me.

I'd probably also rather have a second Primus for another backrow removal option over second Auxilla but I'm not crafting it just for this.

You don't need a second one to try again next turn because your cards are already in rotation. Jurrac is indeed playable and it might even be one of the best decks because unlike regular dinoslop, it has 1-card combos, and its 2-card combos are way stronger. But you'll need 2-3 meteor on top of the 3 asteros, because the deck will summon 2 through astero and volcano, or if you're greedy and go for the double astero instead of astero + UCT you can summon the 3 meteor and still have a total board nuke through the trap card.

My Bystial Spright endboard is Colossus, either Carrot/Red, Elf target Colossus, Dis pater, Silhouhatte, Regained or Etude and 1-2 handtraps and 2 sets.
