NG+2 bros, what build did you guys use to not make the endgame bosses tedious af with their HP? Is there certain temperances you used against each boss to make the fights quicker? I just finished Hardcore NG+ Khazan before Wuchang came out. I actually kind of feel the opposite.
Khazan has better bosses mechanically, but the levels were very linear in it, and I think the story in Wuchang is better. Both have fun enough enemies to fight, even if they are both also lacking a bit in enemy variety (I actually think the lower level of stagger contributes heavily to this and am afraid if they make more basic enemies in Wuchang get knocked around by light attack spam it will ruin this feeling)
Overall I feel like they are both kind of 7/10 games, Khazan is an 8 or maybe even 9 when fighting bosses but 6/10 everywhere else while Wuchang is more like an 8/10 across the board but has some issues bringing it down to a 7.

Spec trees have +5 nodes early into them which you want to claim early because it's more efficient point for point, then you can branch out into the utility tree and skills for your main weapon. Never put multiple points into nodes that let you do that because it's better to go up some other tree for later +5s instead

I definitely struggled for a hot second but then I downloaded this bitch.
She dies in 4 knockdowns and the first one is completely free for some reason, just dodge red arrows and walk behind her, then get another one off a dive just like with Bo Sorcerer. In phase 2 she explicitly attempts to negate that tactic with arrows preceding dive but you can get a fairly easy backshot when she does red blades combo, if you dodge the third slash (with the wave) to the left she's exposed for a very long time.

Wuchang has forgotten over time because the cycle has been going on for thousands of years hence the Inner Demon/Demon of Obsession. Wuchang's dad attempted to fix his son's illness but it turned him into a monstrosity that ended up getting him killed by his own son. Wuchang's sister is dead and part of the reason for the journey has been not accepting reality for what it is and trying to bring Bai Yu back to life. The reason the true ending is the real world and going back to the pirate ship is because Wuchang finally comes to terms that she can't change fate and moves on.

Compared to Wuchang for example. I died a lot vs. Ming General, Mistress of Night and Perfect Bride. But I always felt like theyre doable so I'd went back at them until I won.

I dont remember the exact boss I was fighting in the NioH 2 second DLC that eventually just made me not interested in continuing, but it just felt like I wasnt doing anything. Think he was a snake-like thing after a lot of running around in a cave.

I'm pretty sure I was on one of the higher difficulties when I made that webm. I don't remember as it's been 4 years. Ippon Datara is an amazing yokai core to use pretty much no matter what as your ki will regen when you use it and you do a lot of ki damage with it while leaving a fire puddle. You just gotta use what the game gives you or else you're not going to have a good time. If you're stubborn and refuse to utilize what you're given, of course you're going to get filtered. I love Wuchang but there's less to work with in Wuchang which is why you feel the way you do about it. You're unwilling to give more if asked for more.

I don't use it much, but there's clashes on some of the basic attacks and there's Disciplines with Clash too. Basically the idea for Honglan is to time your clashes with her sword combos to do the anime sword hitting sword memes, then just dodge the physical attacks and ranged slash things inbetween. If you stay near her she's less likely to do the annoying charge attacks and quick ranged slashes that are hard to dodge, so that's your best bet for both defense and healing opportunities. Or just respec to Axe + Leech build and win for free.

It doesnt ignore it, otherwise he would be dead before he was able to pop the item that cleanses despair. Wearing Ming Armor in mines for example triggers Corruption almost instantly with no build up. Wearing those dirty monk clothes you found allows you to stand inside it for 5 or 6 ticks.

The centipede boss basically forced me into switching my armor because I ran out camellia. That made me notice that switching armor is probably an intended mechanic which probably explains the glamour feature.

Dual blades have a ton of clash which basically let's you take greatly reduced damage and not stagger when attacking weapon wielders. Dual blades let's you face roll weapon wielders.
Axe has clash tied to it's heavy attack and gains a ton of might on it's last light attack hit, so for fast weapon wielders, you charge heavy into them and continue with light attacks if they get knocked down. Big slow guys are just mashing light attacks.
You exploit reach with spears.
One handed swords are magic focused.

I played LS+Axe in my first playthrough and I thought it had good synergy.
