Nikke is a high drop rate gacha so getting characters is already basically free so people pay for skins without an issue since they don't use money on the characters.

GFL2 has mihoyo style gacha which usually requires at least 200-300 dollars in rolls the garuntee a drop, and the fact that this is the case after GFL1 was based around a literally FREE gacha makes it even worse. So yeah, throwing expensive af skins like snowshit killed any goodwilld gfl had left.
